Thanks for stopping in.
Writing and singing songs is my passion. This has led me to pursue a life of performances and recordings. Big thanks to Nancy Lee.
I play in two bands.
Acoustically, with dobros and fiddles and the like, are The Lonesome Sparrows.
For a big jolt of electricity, I plug in with The Ivory Bills.
It’s all here on the site. I hope you’ll take some time to look, listen, and buy. Send me an e-mail. Check out a show sometime if you’re in or around my hometown, New Haven, CT, New England, USA.
Song of the Month!
Wide Awake
Posted: July 2, 2009
This tune is a tribute to insomnia – a nightmare minus the sleep.
Bob Sheehan loved the line, “there’s a baby bawlin’ down the alley/ guess he’s got what I got.”
Farm Markets
Posted: June 16, 2009
This is our favorite time of year – fresh local food, with outdoor music by The Lonesome Sparrows. Johnny Memphis and I will be playing at the three City Seed New Haven Markets as well as The Milford Town Green Market.
Dick Neal and I will be playing at The Spring Glen Market on Whitney Avenue in Hamden. There’s always a possibility we will cross-polinate and hybridize!
Happy eating.
MLK Love March

I was honored to be asked to speak at the 39th annual Martin Luther King Love March, at Shiloh Baptist Church in New Haven. It was a thrill.
