Crazy Rocket Ride

They ran through the city
under a golden moon
he brought the bottle, she polished her silver spoon.
Hearts pumping madness, fear in their souls
she brought the needle
they dug themselves a hole.

He was deeply damaged goods
she was beautifully flawed
they turned it up loud, they played it in the bars.
Tangled up in love, hooked up arm in arm
they fell in the gutter
so they could look out at the stars.

Well it's a long way out
to The Milky Way
she nearly froze, she turned as cold as clay.
He breathed into her soul
she rose and walked away
alone in the darkness
he prays for break of day.

Now it's a crazy rocket ride,
crazy rocket ride,
crazy, crazy rocket ride.
